By way of example, the ECTS credits awarded for each type of 4-week course are shown below:
\n– standard<\/a> <\/span>(72 lessons): 5 credits\u00a0
\n– intensive<\/a> <\/span>(88 lessons): 6 credits\u00a0
\n– super intensive<\/span><\/a> (104 lessons): 8 credits\u00a0<\/p>\nCredits are assigned after passing our final exam. In order to pass it, some extra hours of self-study are required.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Levels<\/span><\/h3>\nThe courses at the Accademia Lingua Italiana Assisi, from 12\/12\/2002 have been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education (n\u00b0 42256\/C19). Our courses operate within the levels A1 to C2, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference. We issue a certificate of attendance and a proficiency certificate between A1 and C2. Our course levels are:<\/p>\n
BEGINNERS:\u00a0 A1 ELEMENTARY I \/ ELEMENTARY II:\u00a0 A2 INTERMEDIATE I:\u00a0\u00a0 B1 INTERMEDIATE II \/ INTERMEDIATE III: \u00a0\u00a0 B2 ADVANCED I \/ADVANCED II: \u00a0\u00a0 C1 ADVANCED III \/ ADVANCED IV:\u00a0 C2<\/p>\n
At the start of each course we ascertain the correct course level for each student. The final attainment level depends on the type (standard, intensive, combined, individual) and duration of the course. The structure of the course allows students to be aware of their progress, both through our regular internal assessments and finally through the CILS e ROMA TRE exams should they choose to take this exam.<\/p>\n
U.S. credits<\/span><\/h3>\nAs we are partnered with the Neumann University<\/strong>, students who take our 4 weeks standard course (80 hours) are eligible to receive Neumann University transfer credits (3 credits). Courses offered: Italian 101, 102, 201 and 202. The credits will normally be transferable to most American colleges and universities.\u00a0<\/p>\nUniversity of the Pacific <\/strong>summer immersion<\/span><\/a>: two semesters of beginning Italian for 8 units or intermediate conversation for 6 units.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
